The Walk for Autism
Due to recent developments tied to the global spread of the coronavirus (COVID19) and the heightened risk for people with intellectual disabilities and the elderly, we are cancelling the Walk for Autism this year – as we know it! However, we are excited to announce the 2020 Virtual Walk for Autism to take place throughout the month of April. As many of you know, the Walk for Autism is our biggest community gathering and celebration each year and helps to raise funds to support our services throughout the state. We do not want to miss out on celebrating our loved ones affected by autism or the generosity of our community. We hope you will all consider joining us to make the Virtual Walk for Autism a huge success and continue the support of our vital services.
The Virtual Walk For Autism
The Virtual Walk for Autism was a rousing success! With your help, we raised over $130,000 to help fuel the mission of Autism Delaware. Although the Virtual Walk has ended, autism has not ended and the need for support of families and individuals affected by autism, now more than every, has not ended.
Your fundraising pages will remain live and able to accept donations until we launch the 2021 fundraising pages in early fall. Please continue to reach out. Forward the link to our video so folks can see the need for additional funds. Thank you!
What About the Walk Shirts & Fundraising Envelopes?
Walk shirts will be available for every person registered for the Walk For Autism by April 30th. As soon as Governor Carney lifts the stay at home order, we will announce dates and times for you to come to one of our offices to pick up your shirts and drop off your fundraising envelopes. PLEASE DO NOT TURN UP AT AN AUTISM DELAWARE OFFICE TO PICK UP A T-SHIRT OR DROP OFF YOUR ENVELOPES. The safety of our community and that of our staff is a top priority to us.

Tell Your Story
There’s no more powerful way to compel someone to give to your walk team or to Autism Delaware than to tell your story.
It’s personal, it’s meaningful, it’s your truth.
Tell us your story and we’ll feature it here on our website and on our social media pages.
