The purpose of our workshops and speakers it to provide regular opportunities for parents, caregivers, individuals with autism, medical professionals, educators, and members of the community to hear directly from experts in the field of autism therapies, autism issues, and autism research.
Parent to Parent Workshop Series
Parent to Parent is a unique workshop series in which trained parent coaches offer their experiences and education to support families who are raising a child with an ASD. Parents have the opportunity to engage together to learn about strategies, support and resources available to them and their children.
Week 1: Understanding ASD

Week 3: Visual Supports
Week 4: Visual Supports in Practice
Week 5: Positive Advocacy
Parent to Parent is offered several times a year. Currently, sessions are offered online. Parent to Parent is also offered in collaboration with several school districts in Delaware, ask your teacher or special education director. Registration is required. Click on a link below to register!

Speaker Series
Autism Delaware’s Speaker Series is a free, monthly lecture provided by experts in the field of autism and/or other fields related to autism or disabilities services and supports. Topics for Speaker Series include: feeding, toileting, anxiety & depression, guardianship, financial issues, services & support, education issues, and many others. Speaker Series lectures are offered in-person, via videoconference or on Facebook live.

Recreational Opportunities
Each year we hold, literally, hundreds of opportunities for family recreation, from sensory friendly movies, to bowling, roller skating, art classes, and beyond.
Coffee & Conversation
Parent coffee hours offer the opportunity to get together in a safe, comfortable atmosphere to talk about issues of concern, vent frustrations & learn about important topics.
