To become a member of the Autism Society of Delaware (ASD), you must be a member of the Autism Society of America (ASA). There are no separate dues to join ASD. All dues and contributions made to ASD/ASA are tax deductible. We ask that you submit your new and renewal memberships through the ASD office. Click here, to get a printable application.
What does ASD offer?
Education:
We
provide information through newsletters, the ASD eGroup, website,
speakers, conferences, trainings and our
lending library.
Advocacy:
We
promote awareness with
Congress, the
Delaware legislature
and
state policymakers to ensure they recognize the needs of people with
autism
and their
families for quality education and services across the lifespan.
Public Awareness:
We raise
public awareness through local media, participation in
community events, special events and donations
to libraries statewide.
Research: We support local and national research efforts. (CAN, NAAR, ASAF)
Services to Members: We offer
support groups, monthly
meetings,
parent mentors, new
parent packets, social activities,
conference stipends, scholarships and
more.
Opportunities to Volunteer: ASD’s
success and growth has been
driven by
volunteers.
We offer opportunities to work on a variety of projects and
committees.
