Advocacy/Legislative- Educate both members and legislators on autism related issues as well as fostering relationships between legislators and members.
Public Awareness - Give information to people at community events, increase awareness and understanding of autism through education and community based activities and outreach
Marketing/Public Relations Intern – assist office staff in creating media materials, press releases, publicity, newsletter, materials.
Office Assistance – help create large mailings or assist in data entry or special projects.
Parent Mentoring & Support – provide support, advice and information to newly diagnosed families.
Fundraising Events – Assist with planning and preparing special events.
Programming– Determine and schedule guest speakers, arrange social activities and organize conferences.
Social Events– Plan and coordinate social events and activities for individuals with autism and their families
