The Southern Delaware Founders' Campaign
The Autism Delaware Southern Delaware Founders' Campaign Interest
Meeting that was originally scheduled for July 28 has been
rescheduled for August 18 at 6:30 at Dover Downs. Please RSVP to Kim
Siegel at 302-224-6020.
To become a truly statewide organization,
Autism Delaware is calling on people with autism and their friends
and families to support the Southern Delaware Founders’ Campaign, a
three-year effort to raise the money needed to establish a
permanent, full-time office downstate. This office will bring
programs and services currently offered mainly in New Castle County
to Kent and Sussex families, including:
-
parent mentoring and support
-
educational opportunities for families and professionals
-
information and referral services to local providers and
resources
-
family and
individual recreation
-
social
skills education
-
adult
vocational services
-
a presence
and advocacy in school
The
Founders’ Campaign gives the local community a way to
make this happen. Donors to the Campaign (“Founders”) make a minimum
pledge of $100 a year for three years. Founders can have an even
greater impact by joining the
Founders’ Circle whose members commit to recruit
other Founders, provide technical advice or other resources in an
advisory role to the Board of Directors, and make a minimum donation
of $250.
The Bank of America Client Foundation will match what Autism
Delaware raises for the southern office up to $25,000 in 2009,
$20,000 in 2010, and $15,000 in 2011. Because Campaign proceeds will
be part of our demonstration that we have raised enough to earn the
match, your gift could have double the impact!
For more information on the Campaign and the Circle, please review
the brochures or call
Kim Siegel
at 302-224-6020. If you’re ready to contribute, thank
you! Please complete the form in the Campaign or Circle brochure
according to your chosen commitment, and mail it to the Newark
office with your payment; if you prefer to use a credit card, please
complete our
online donation form and put “Founders’ Campaign” or
“Founders’ Circle” in the Gift Notes Section. Using the online

installments.
